Meet Tucker, the handsome Beagle. This gorgeous face was a delight to paint! Isn't he just adorable?!
As is often the case, Tucker's human supplied a photograph she absolutely loved of her four legged friend but, unfortunately, it wasn't of high enough quality for me to see the required detail (middle). At this stage, I would normally request additional photographs from the owner to find one that a)they are happy with and b) I can work from. On the rare occasion that this is not possible, I offer to take photographs myself (free of charge) if the location is within a reasonable distance. Luckily, Tucker is a regular at my sister's dog spa - Scrub a Dug Dug . My sister takes before and after photo's of all her four legged visitors (including her now legendary 'shower cap shots' - they are precious and well worth a browse fellow animal lovers) so we were able to move forward quickly.
Working from the original photograph provided by Tucker's human, I was able to use the additional photo's from my sister to obtain the required detail and produce the pawtrait requested. Tucker's owner loved the bandana, so we made sure to include it in the painting. This is something I do often for my clients. While the original photograph provided might not be of adequate quality, I do everything possible to ensure I create the painting you want.
So, here he is...the finished Tucker with some close up shots of different areas of the painting below. Also, just for fun, I've included Tucker's very own shower cap shot from Scrub a Dug Dug. See, I told you - precious!
