CREATE A TIMELESS MEMORY OF YOUR BELOVED PET

Working from a selected photo you provide, Michelle's pet portraits are a perfect addition to your home or serve as a great gift for the pet lover in your life.

Michelle prides herself on working closely with her customers, providing regular photo updates, to ensure she is capturing the distinct physical details and unique personality of your furry friend. 

WHAT TO EXPECT

You will receive a unique painting by fine art artist,  Michelle Zikmann. My portraits are created in coloured / pastel pencil, using only high-quality Lightfast pencils. I use Clairefontaine Pastelmat, Grafix Drafting Film or Bristol Board - all fine art quality and wonderful surfaces to capture the colour and texture of your furry friends.

Each portrait is professionally mounted with backing board and wrapped in acid-free acetate for delivery purposes.

Michelle spends a lot of time on commissions to create a painting that you are 100% happy with. Once painting begins, it can take a few weeks to complete your pet commission and it includes regular updates and interaction.

Please note: No prints will be created from commissions though there may be greeting cards.

THE COMMISSION PROCESS:

  1. Complete the contact form on the website.

  2. We will email you a commission form to complete and send back to us.  We will also send T&C’s, and a copy of this commission process list and pet photography tips.

  3. Send photos of your pet(s). A non-refundable 50% deposit is also requested before painting begins.

  4. Michelle will map out a rough composition using a selection of photos and send it for approval. Once approved, you will receive regular photo updates of the painting as it progresses.

  5. Once the painting is completed, you can suggest any changes you may like (2 changes included in pricing, additional fee for more than 2 changes).

  6. Once you are happy with the painting, the remaining 50% of the payment will be requested plus shipping. Shipping is a £10.00 flat rate fee, though personal delivery will be offered where possible. For shipping outside of the UK, please contact me for a quote.

  7. The painting will be sent double mounted using conservation quality board and shipped to your address (tracked and signed for).

Please note: There may be a waiting list so it could be a while before Michelle can begin your
painting. If it is required for a specific date, please contact us to see if Michelle can accommodate your request. You can also contact us to get a rough estimate regarding timescale and
place in queue.
